Every set, indexed.

Chase Index

Each set's index follows its top 10 raw singles by market price on the launch date (fewer for small sets), one per card in its main printing. It is equal-weighted like our Era Indexes: 1,000 × the average of each card's price divided by its price on the base date, so a $2,000 grail and a $60 favorite count the same. The cards are frozen; once a month, any card that has fallen out of the set's top 20 is swapped for the most valuable card not in the index, linked in so the level doesn't jump.

Master Set Cost

One copy of every card number in the set (Trainer Gallery, Galarian Gallery, Shiny Vault and similar subsets included), at today's market price for the cheapest standard printing. Reverse holos, 1st Editions and stamped or pattern variants aren't counted unless a card only exists that way. "Cards" shows how many have a price today.

Black Star Promo Indexes

Each numbered Black Star promo line (Wizards, Nintendo, DP, HGSS, BW, XY, SM, SWSH, SV and ME) gets the same Chase Index and Master Set Cost as a set. Its checklist is the official promo numbering: one entry per promo number at its plain version, or its stamped version when that's the only way it was released (prerelease promos, for example). Staff, prize, placement and championship versions aren't counted. Promos come in collection boxes, tins and at events rather than in packs of their own, so promo pages have no sealed block or rip guide.

Sealed and the rip guide

Each set page lists today's prices for the set's key sealed products and compares a box with the value of its chase cards and the master set. That comparison ignores pull rates, so treat it as a rough guide, not an expected value.

Full method: Methodology → Set Indexes. Trainer kit, POP Series and other giveaway lines aren't indexed.
